Hello

I have enjoyed the company of Westies for over 30 years always with two or more as they love company. Late last year wee Mckenzie had to be put down and now Golly Macdonald (6) is on his own He is a lively , good natured boy who adores being with friends. I would love an older dog for a mate for Golly. I live in Hawkes Bay and am semi- retired with a great garden for exploring.Contact me through the Westie Club or at

I am about to embark on an adventure with my first Westie who is flying in from Australia at the end of December. Once he is here, I will certainly be joining the West Highland White Terrier Club. He will arrive with full papers so I am hoping to enter as many shows as possible as well as showing off and sharing his fantastic pedigree in the future. I look forward to joining and receiving the support which I feel the WHWTC gives for the love of the Westie.

Hello.. We have a 4 1/2 month old Westie called Roxy.. I took her today to see Christine for a groom, Roxy looks wonderful now.  Thanks Christine.  Christine also mentioned the Westie Club.  I will be sending off my form next week, looking forward to meeting everyone.  Kind regards Rachel.

Hello to all the westie owners.

I have 2 beautiful westies should be show dogs, but have instead come to live with us as fasithful friends and companions.

Not spoilt but ruined by me. I have had to buy a large bed to accomidate our 2 new family members who have settled in without any problems, other than the local cats who now don't come near the property.

keep up the good work, love your website.

regards Judith and the girls. Magic and Kate

Its been a wonderful hour spent browsing this website gleaning information.

As a new Westie owner I will definitely be joining the Club and keeping an eye out for tips and news.

I am in the Kapiti area ( one hour north of Wellington ). If there are any Westie owners in Kapiti who would like to form a walking group every so often - please let the Club moderator of this Guest Book know so that one way or another we can all find each other!

I am also looking for help from anyone in my area who understands how to strip the dead hair out - and would be willing to give me a lesson!

Thank you, Lara

I am writing to introduce Miss Shona Pardoe, my much loved westie who will be 9 years this October. She is the matriach of all the westies who live in Gisborne. There are currently around five that I am aware of and who we meet from time to time.

Her best friends Lexie and Ramsay [westies of course] are going to the United States to live in a few months. She and I will miss them greatly as the fun they have tearing around at the park is a sight to see.

This is a great website. Congratulations.

Thank you for posting the lovely photos taken of our little boy Toby on Ribbon Day.  We all had an absolutely wonderful time.  Toby was quite exhausted towards the end and had to be woken up from his nap to take part in the Best Dressed competition and thus had to be carried into the ring.  Once we got back into the car, he slept like a baby all the way home!  A big thanks to the Westie Club for organising a great day out!  Yay From The Whiteman Family xx

So lovely to check out this site and see that the NZ Westie Club is doing so well! The key to a successful club is friendliness and encouragement of all who are sincere is wanting this wonderful breed to flourish, without caring about the financial gain. By the looks of the website this care is alive and well in my native NZ - well done!

My Mother was the late Pat Warren. It's been some time since I've looked at this site and I'm so pleased to see it is going from strength to strength. Mum would be very happy.

I tend to approach everyone walking a Westie to have a chat and pat. Whilst not a dog owner myself Westies are very dear to my heart so if as Westie owners out walking you see a strange man with a big smile on his face making a b-line for you and your dog - don't be scared I'm just looking to say hello!
