The club was formed in 1987 to meet the needs of the many pet owners throughout New Zealand.

The club has a membership of over 300 people spread across the entire country.

Throughout the year the club distributes a "Westie News Roundup" each quarter, this contains information on the breed as well as up coming events organised by the committee, also included are photos sent in by readers and various results from local Dog Shows.

Membership Information:

There is a one off joining fee of $5 and an annual subscription of $20.00 for local membership and $20.00 for overseas subscriptions.
